Italian Karting School since 2013 and more
The Giokart Racing Academy was born in November 2013 from an idea of Giorgio Di Giorgio and Alessandro Donati, Lazio drivers with multiple experiences with karts and cars, together with Team Fronzilli and Jesolo Kart, which in the startup phase provided, in addition to the karts, the great experience and the structure for technical preparation.
From the very beginning residing in the International Circuit of Latina, Giokart under the old name Racing School, offered Kart courses aimed at motor enthusiasts to introduce them to the world of Karting in a serious and safe way, under the supervision of qualified instructors.
At first, the School’s goal was to teach children aged 5 to 9 how to drive the racing vehicle, through an educational approach that would bring out talent and a healthy spirit of sports competition, while at the same time conveying the importance of safety in motor sports.
The fleet initially consisted of 8 WTP-powered Jesolo baby karts, which allowed more than 100 children to be put on the track. In 2014, the Giokart Cup was organized, with a single-brand chassis and engine draw formula. Many of the drivers from that period went on to establish themselves later, in national and international karting championships.
In February 2023, an agreement was reached with the organizers of the KZR Championship, for the Academy project aimed at youth and adults in Rental Racing.
In two years, we have introduced more than 100 drivers to fast driving on these vehicles, and some of them have participated in championship races and achieved top level results.
An experience that allowed us to ‘refine’ our teaching method, going into detail in the search for maximum driver performance in practice and in races.
The satisfaction was seeing young people increasing their level of driving each time, while also adding a lot of passion.
Step by step, as true perfectionists
After more than 11 years of operation, the goal for the Giokart Racing Academy remains the same: to spread this wonderful sport and produce drivers who are ready to race on the track, enabling them to fully understand their potential and the responsibilities that come with being motorsport athletes.
Being proud of your emotions
For some of the Academy’s more than 200 drivers, there has already been a transition to single-seaters, and Alessandro and Giorgio are especially proud of this, because when the foundations are well established, sporting growth and success never come by accident.
From kart to race car is a snap
In 2024, two more lines of motorsport courses were proposed, in addition to the KZR and Italcorse Academy, with the addition of the Legend Cars Experience and the Baby School. And then Massimiliano arrived.
Our club, as a sporting entity, has never hidden its great ambitions, combined with the three members’ competence, professionalism and a not inconsiderable amount of passion.
The business goes up and down Italy
At the end of 2024, we created an evolution for our Academy project. The ambition was to continue our teaching directly on the race track.
With the Castelletto Circuit, through Adriano Monti, importer of Legend Cars, we have reached an agreement to bring more drivers who wish to compete to the track.
So our business, which normally resides in the Latina circuit Il Sagittario, was also brought to northern Italy, to Castelletto di Branduzzo.
The programme for 2025 will be enriched by training days at Italian racetracks in addition to the Start lessons and course-specific training at our Academy.
All this with the aim of introducing all novices wishing to become ‘real’ racers to driving a real racing car, in a Legend Car of course.
Further up the karting ladder
The year 2025 is also a turning point for us in terms of training activities in karting.
With Italcorse we planned a specific activity on real racing karts, using the manufacturer’s materials.
Drivers can gain experience from qualified instructors, with participation in dozens of races and many titles on their palmares.
It will be one more reason for us to create young champions, who will then be followed by an outstanding staff on all the circuits of the world.
We will open up to international pilots with a ‘summer camp’ that is unique in the world, both in terms of the technical quality of the materials and instructors, and the proximity to Rome, which will be appreciated by parents from every nation.
